Train With Us. Move Better. Feel Stronger.

At Forge CHS, every class is built around one idea: help you function better. Better in the gym, better at work, better in everyday life.

We offer two types of coach-led group fitness classes in West Ashley: 60-minute strength and conditioning classes that combine strength training, mobility, core, and balance into one complete session — and 30-minute mobility classes designed to keep your joints healthy, your range of motion strong, and your body ready to train.

Every class is scaled to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you're brand new to group training or a seasoned athlete, you'll find something that challenges you, supports you, and keeps you coming back.

What to expect in a FORGE CHS Strength & Conditioning Class

Forge CHS classes are hybrid workouts — not cardio-only, not pure lifting, but a complete training session that covers all the bases:

  • Strength — compound lifts and resistance work that build real, functional muscle and carry over into everyday movement.

  • Conditioning — circuits and cardio-based work that challenge your endurance, build your engine, and keep your metabolism firing.

  • Mobility — intentional movement work that keeps your joints healthy, your range of motion strong, and your body feeling as good as it performs.

  • Core & Balance — the foundation underneath everything else. Built into every session because real strength starts from the center out.

Certified trainers guide every session — monitoring form, offering modifications, and making sure every member is training safely and effectively.

And unlike a lot of group fitness programs, Forge CHS classes don't happen in a small studio room. Depending on the day and the programming, your class may use the entire 10,000 sq ft facility — squat racks, free weights, machines, turf, rowers, bikes, and more. The whole gym is yours.

No matter your experience level, our classes are here to challenge you, inspire you, and help you forge lasting strength — inside and out.

Forge mobility classes are led by Lauren Michi, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Women's Fitness Specialist.

These are not yoga. They're 30-minute sessions of intentional, active stretching focused on the joints that matter most for training — hips, ankles, shoulders. The focus shifts every few weeks to keep the work progressive and targeted.

The goal is simple: the ability to move freely, easily, and independently. Everything we do at Forge is for function. Mobility work is what makes the strength work possible — and what makes everyday life feel better.

Forge CHS Mobility Classes — What They Are (and What They're Not)

Built for Every Level, Never Overcrowded

Forge classes are capped to keep them small enough that coaches know your name and can give you real attention, large enough to bring the energy of group training.

You don't need experience to walk in. Classes are programmed to scale, so whether you're picking up a barbell for the first time or training at a high level, the workout meets you where you are. Coaches are on the floor every session to help you modify, progress, and feel confident.

First time in a gym? We'd love to take a few minutes before your first class to chat — get to know you, understand any movement limitations, and make sure you feel set up for success before you step on the floor. Just reach out and we'll make it happen.

  • Most group fitness happens in a dedicated class room with the same equipment every time. At Forge, your class uses the whole gym — squat racks, free weights, machines, turf, rowers, bikes, and more — depending on the day and the programming. 10,000 sq ft is a lot of gym. We use all of it.

  • It varies by session. Classes are held in the gym, not a studio or class room and may utilize the full 10,000 sq ft facility — squat racks, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, turf, sleds, rowers, Rogue bikes, machines, and more.

  • All programming is designed so members can complete the workout independently during open gym hours. With 24/7 keycard access, you're never locked out of your training and always have coach support.

  • No. At Forge CHS we have no contracts, no signup fees, and no cancellation fees.
